Variety Theatre Internship Program

The Variety Theatre internship program provides the opportunity for an inclusive group of St. Louis teenagers to work side-by-side with some of the community’s top theatre professionals. Serving as an assistant in their department, the interns get hands-on experience in the theatrical production process from start to finish. The chance to attend production meetings, rehearsals, design meetings, and assist in the process of teching and mounting the show allows students to learn a specific technical theatre skill in a professional environment.

Internships are available in the following production fields: Producer, Director, Choreographer, Musical Director, Production Manager, Stage Manager, Scenic Designer, Lighting Designer, Sound Designer, Costume Designer, Hair/Wig Designer, Makeup Designer, and Prop Design/Carpentry. See below for a brief description of each of these fields.

All internship positions for the upcoming production have been filled at this time. More information will be posted here when internship applications are open again.
