Variety Children’s Chorus and Variety Dance provide a chance for an inclusive group of kids and teens to sing, dance and perform, as well as make friends, build confidence and learn new skills.
Youth of all abilities join together to form the Chorus, which performs throughout the St. Louis area. The talented group spreads Variety’s message of inclusion for all to hear, from holiday concerts to Dinner with the Stars. Chorus is led by Variety’s new Chorus Director, Dr. Jeff Carter, who is also a professor and chair of the Department of Music at Webster University. Dr. Carter has performed all around the world and has led multiple renowned choirs.
Variety Dance is also open to kids and teens of all abilities, and is led by talented dancer and choreographer Dustin Crumbaugh. At practices, Dustin leads the group in a wide range of exercises before teaching basic dance steps and choreography, all adapted to fit each child’s needs.
Practices for each program are held weekly on Thursdays throughout the school year, with the first practice on September 6, 2018. Performances will also take place throughout the school year, culminating in Variety Week in April 2019.
